RuPaul and Paula Deen

On a somewhat recent episode of Paula's Party, RuPaul joined Paula Deen for Diva's Night and baked up some chocolate brownies. What I find most fascinating about this duo is that these girls have A LOT in common, and I wouldn't be surprised if a few hair and makeup tips were exchanged backstage.

Paula: RuPaul, I just love your outfit. Where did you get it?

RuPaul: The drag queen store. Honey, I love your outfit. Where did you get yours?

Paula: I got mine at the drag queen store too, y'all!!

Brenda Walsh Returns to Beverly Hills

Shannen Doherty

Shannen Doherty made an appearance at the CW's premiere party for the new 90210. Looking like she's just as prepared to get into a fist fight over Dylan McKay as she is to walk off in a huff, I think it's safe to say that Kelly Taylor better watch her back this fall in the halls of West Beverly High.

  • The Look: modified graduation gown "borrowed" from the props used in season 3's graduation episode that's also easily paired with bangs.

  • The Attitude: conniving, rebellious, ready to use a fake French accent and/or throw an engagement ring into a pool as a reaction to a prenuptial agreement, and/or spend the night in jail after freeing animals from the school's science lab.

  • The Plan: use London theater experience to direct West Beverly's high school play, rely on dramatic arts training to reestablish BFF status with Kelly Taylor while secretly plotting to destroy her.

Brenda Walsh and Kelly Taylor

Despite the fact that we won't get to witness what a now 30-something Donna Martin is doing these days, I'm still VERY excited to see Brenda Walsh and Kelly Taylor cross paths in the 90210 zip on September 2nd. Of course, there's going to be a viewing party here at Lost in TV HQ as this kind of television event is a major moment of nostalgia that must be celebrated (with high-waisted jeans and/or bangs, of course). Meanwhile, here's a first look at the new show on the CW:

Sandra Lee's Pot Racks from Accent Furniture Direct

Pot rack, that is! In fact, she's got a whole collection of them for sale at Accent Furniture Direct. On their website you'll find Sandra Lee's pot racks in both the wall and ceiling mounted variety. With more than 60 different models to choose from, it's safe to say you've got a lot of options for sprucing up your kitchenscape with a collection of precariously hung cookware.

While your typical pot racks are usually only able to store pots, Sandy's come with an optional Liquor Extension Kit that allow you to reinvent the utility of the alcohol in your home. The Boxed Wine and Straw Combo Accessory is also available for an additional charge.

Place a straw in your boxed wine for added convenience!

Reprise: Lisa Garza Sings About Her Beautifully Basic Buffet

Lisa Garza

The weirdest thing about watching The Next Food Network Star this season is that I actually ended up caring about who won the competition. And I wasn't alone. In fact, I was aided and abetted by a few workplace friends who, along with me, became just a little bit obsessed thanks to one contestant: Lisa Garza.

Lisa's approach to cooking, "Beautiful Basics," had the potential of being a great cooking show where she planned to take basic recipes and techniques and transform them into 5-star restaurant results. The show would have had a lot of style and the food would have been fantastic, so it was hard on us all that she didn't prevail in the competition.

In fact, the bitter sting of defeat is so much worse when we reflect on all the things we loved about Lisa. We loved her style: the over-sized jewelry, the hair, the scarves, the fact that she wasn't afraid to wear Carolina Herrera in the kitchen. Basically, we all determined that we want to dress up like her for Halloween. And then there's the singing. At the Las Vegas challenge she introduced her buffet with a musical rendition of Beautiful Basics, a soulful remix about the beautifully basic buffet she was about to serve to the performers. Bob Tuschman's "WOW!" at the beginning of her song really says it all as Lisa stole all of our hearts right along with his.

Belinda Carlisle does Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson

Belinda Carlisle

Belinda Carlisle stopped by for an interview with Craig Ferguson the other night to plug the Regeneration Tour and sing "Heaven is a Place on Earth." Belinda is part of a concert line-up that rekindles the nostalgia for 80's pop music with other acts like ABC, A Flock of Seagulls and The Human League.

First, I must point out that this woman is about to be 50 next month. And while it's possible she's starting to look like the long lost sister of Janice Dickinson because of a few too many trips to the "spa," I think she still looks and sounds great. Second, her chat with Craig is very amusing, at least to me, because I always think she's just a little bit crazy- my kind of crazy. For example, the topics of earthquakes, aliens, the mistreatment of donkeys and a diet of baguettes and butter were all mentioned within the span of 3 minutes. That's quite a bit of territory to cover. Can you imagine having a conversation with her over dinner? And when questioned about how she stays so trim despite the staples of the baguette/butter diet, Belinda responded in her typically evasive fashion, "You know....whatever."
